
Today, many children have the benefit of having a smart tablet at home as well as plenty of physical coloring books. However, those who do not are missing a key childhood development, and fun, activity.
After working through various ideation techniques, I became attached to the concept of widespread accessibility to learning technology. I sought to answer the question: How can I create a publicly shared toy to provide all children with a fun, creative outlet? With my shared creativity toy, I aim to bring a creative freedom to children regardless of economic background or age.

The CK map allowed me to bounce between the walls of childrens toys and ‘sharing’ the economic sense.

I started by sorting existing ideas in to a matrix of toy type and scope of use. The results were then applied to another matrix and edits were added to make them applicable. After repeating this with the third matrix, I was left with six completely unique innovations.

I explored different ways that the collaborative art piece could be shared, but with the original concept of keeping the toy secured in one park area permanently in a playground made of largely kinesthetic toys.
